Week 1 (4 & 7):  General principles of public speaking
4 Jan 20:30-21:30 – Introduction of the course; self-introduction; ice-breaker
7 Jan 9:00-10:30 – General principles; elevator speech mini-practice; feedback
Week 2 (11 & 14): Informative speeches and practice
11 Jan 20:30-21:30 – speech planning; effective ways of structuring your speech (how not to sound boring and predictable); how to control pace and manage expectation; assignment 1
14 Jan 9:00-10:30 – Speech assignment 1 delivery and feedback
Week 3 (18 & 21): Persuasive speeches and practice
18 Jan 20:30-21:30 – skills of persuasion and skills of persuasive delivery; assignment 2
21 Jan 9:00-10:30- Speech assignment 2 delivery and feedback
Week 4 (25 & 28): Preparing for the unexpected…
25 Jan 20:30-21:30 – overcome the fear of impromptu speeches; general techniques in impromptu speeches; mini-practice
28 Jan 9:00-10:30 – impromptu speech competition (prizes for the top 3 candidates!)

六、授课老师

丸子Tina

香港大学应用语言学硕士毕业，本科修读英语教育专业，一级荣誉毕业（First class honours)。在学期间获得多个顶级奖学金，包括香港政府奖学金（全校每年仅3名）及香港赛马会奖学金（全校每年仅1名）。毕业后曾任香港多所名校英语教师，教学经验丰富，擅长英语语法、英语写作、英语口语及英语文章精读。2018年受邀赴英国牛津大学Saïd Business School 参加leadership course, 学习管理。在雅思考试中得到过写作8分，口语9分。
